What would have been Botham’s 33rd birthday was the parole hearing for Guyger.
A decision was made by the Texas Board of Pardons & Paroles.
Dallas police officer Guyger told investigators that she had mistaken Botham’s flat for her own. Since she was not on duty, her body camera did not capture any footage.
In 2019, Guyger received a 10-year prison term after being found guilty of murder. Two years ago, she was unsuccessful in appealing her conviction.
