A former school officer in Knox County, Tennessee has filed a $250,000 lawsuit against the district and the city charging that he was wrongfully terminated because his supervisor took offense to his marriage to a Black woman, writes USA Today.

On Thursday, officials in Philadelphia passed a resolution that not only honors Major League Baseball legend Jackie Robinson's color barrier-breaking appearance in the city in 1947 but also serves as a formal apology. On April 15, the day that Robinson shattered the barrier, his widow will receive a formal apology for the mistreatment her husband faced, NBC Philadelphia reports.

A 78-year-old White man attending a Donald Trump rally in North Carolina was arrested and charged Thursday with assault after punching a Black Lives Matter protester in the face. John McGraw was at the Wednesday night event with several other zealous supporters of the Republican presidential hopeful when he threw the punch, WTVR reports.
