A Florida woman has filed a lawsuit against former Cowboys wide receiver Michael Irvin.
The woman claims Irvin raped her at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel on July 4, 2007.
In the lawsuit she claims Irvin bought her alcohol and lured her into his hotel room. She says an unidentified man held her down and Irvin raped her.
No criminal charges have been filed.
Irvin’s lawyers call the accusation “totally untrue” and called the lawsuit “tantamount to criminal extortion.”
Irvin was selected for the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2007.
