Two people are reported dead after Wednesday morning shooting at UCLA. Local and federal law enforcement responded to the incident in a major way, with “hundreds” of personnel locking down campus just after 10 a.m. in order to search for the gunman, according to the university.

Students, faculty and visitors are being asked to shelter in place.
As of now, no motive has been identified and no suspects are in custody. As the story still develops, we’ll keep you posted.

UPDATE 2:15 p.m.: Los Angeles Police report shooting appears to be a murder-suicide. Currently there is not outstanding suspects and no threat to campus.
LA police chief Charlie Beck says “the campus is now safe” after discovering two men left dead on UCLA’s Westwood campus. The chief said the identities of the deceased will not be realised until next of kin is notified, but they are described as adult males. Their connection is yet unknown.
