As many elementary school students across the state of Texas gear up for the STARR Exam, they all have unique ways of preparing. Our weekend morning fave, Jazze the Radio Chica, caught up with teacher Thomas Mayfield and his cool group of 5th graders who have a special test prep secret: Hip-Hop!
This teacher and mentor decided to take the kids’ interest and use it to motivate them to take math seriously and encourage them to “slay STARR.”
