Beyonce has announced the initial singles for her new self-titled visual album.
After slapping the internet in the face with the surprise release of her self titled album, Beyonce has decided to reveal the official singles from the project.
The unconventional release strategy, which seems to have played to her favor in terms of sales, also gave Bey the luxury of gauging which tracks were catching on before deciding on a single.
In another smart move, Bey has decided to release two simultaneous singles for the project– each aimed at a different market. “Blow,” produced by 2013 Billboard MVP Pharrell Williams, will take on the top 40, while “Drunk In Love,” her latest of many duets with Mr. Carter, will take the urban route.
The Dream-penned (and D’angelo-indebted) “XO” will follow as her third single in 2014.
