Well, looks like another rapper is in trouble because of his lyrics.
This time, it is Mountain Dew and PepsiCo cutting ties with Lil’ Wayne because of disrespectful lyrics towards Emmett Till. The Till family recently went at Wayne to get him dropped, and Wayne apologized but it wasn’t good enough.
According to the associated press, a statement from Pepsi revealed that Wayne’s “offensive reference to a revered civil rights icon does not reflect the values of our brand.”
Maybe Mountain Dew should just not endorse rappers, because they just cut Tyler the Creator’s commercials as well for “racism and abuse against women”
