Wingstop Restaurants Inc. (Nasdaq: WING) announced on March 28 that they have signed a lease to relocate its corporate headquarters to One West Village in Uptown Dallas, according to Dallas Morning News.

Here’s a fun fact: The restaurant chain was founded in 1994 in Garland, Texas, and began offering franchises in 1997.

According to a Wingstop representative, the company will take up 112,000 square feet on the whole 15th through 18th floor under a 13-year lease.

Currently, the business is housed in Addison in offices along Wright Brothers Drive. This occurs at a time when a growing number of businesses are looking for newer, walkable corporate offices in Uptown.

The end of 2021 saw the acquisition of the 240,000-square-foot facility at 2801 N. Central Expressway by OliveMill Holdings, a new real estate investment company founded by Ryan McManigal, Chris Selbo, and Peter Yates. The building was originally occupied by The Richards Group. The Richards Group lost clients as a result of founder Stan Richards’ contentious remarks, so they sold the building, changed their name to TRG, and relocated to Deep Ellum.
