Tragic Shooting in Dallas Leaves 2-year-old With Critical Injuries

The Dallas Police Department said last week that an unintentional shooting sent a toddler rushing to the hospital.

The incident took place in the 200 block of W. Overton Road on Wednesday, August 7, at approximately 4:25 p.m.

After receiving reports of gunfire, police in Dallas went to the scene and found that a two-year-old toddler was a victim.

The young victim remains in critical condition following transport to a nearby hospital. There have been no additional reports of injuries related to the unintentional gunshot.

The shooting remains under investigation, and the police have not yet announced any charges or arrests.
