Miss Washington USA Stormy Keffeler has resigned following a DUI conviction.
ABC News interviewed Keffeler on Thursday night, during which she said she chose to step down because she didn’t want to be “selfish” to all of her supporters, family, and the organization. She also had a stint as a lingerie football player with the Seattle Mist before she was caught in April driving on two flat tires with a blood alcohol level three times the legal limit.
Keffeler is also in more serious hot water; she’s a possible suspect in the stabbing of Major League Soccer player Marco Pappa. Pappa hasn’t been too reliable in his account, but police arrived to a Seattle-area apartment to find a bloodied and stabbed Pappa in Keffeler’s arms, reports King 5 TV. Pappa was rushed to the hospital, where he underwent surgery and is recovering.
The pageant queen has also stopped cooperating with authorities regarding the stabbing.
