Adele is waiting on Drake to ring her hotline for an official remix.

“Hotline Bling” feels like the most remixed song of the year. In the past few months, Drake‘s smash hit has been been reworked or covered by Bieber, Kehlani, Erykah Badu, and even Jadakiss. Somewhat surprisingly, none of the remixes have been sanctioned by Drake himself, though should he decide to start reaching out to candidates for an official remix, he’s already got perhaps the world’s biggest pop star waiting for his call.

In a new interview with ETalk, the British singer spoke on her desire to remix “Hotline Bling” upon being asked about how the videos to “Hotline Bling” and “Hello” have both become viral sensations. “I really want us to do an official remix. I love Drake. I love Drake so much,” said the “Hello” singer.

“Hello” currently sits at No. 1 on the Billboard 100, followed by “Hotline Bling,” which has been sitting at No. 2 since mid-October. It was thought that the music video might send the song to No. 1, but perhaps what’s needed is an official remix with the woman who has the top spot.

Bieber’s new album, Purpose, will debut at No. 1 on this week’s chart, selling 649K copies — the most successful first week sales since Drake’s If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late moved 535K. Adele released her third album, 25, on Friday (Nov. 20), and reports say it’s already crushed Bieber, selling 900K on iTunes on its first day. If it keeps up at this rate, Billboard predicts that its first week sales will reach a record-breaking 2.5 million.

Drake’s focus appears to be on his upcoming album, Views from the 6, but would it be wise to pass up on an opportunity to drop a remix that would surely dominate the remainder of the season? If Drake can’t guarantee Adele’s entry into hip-hop, Ricky Rozay is more than eager to work with the British superstar.
