Jeezy wins a $5 million case involving a guy who claimed to be the rightful co-owner of CTE.

Jeezy can sleep soundly tonight as he approaches the release of his 8th studio album, Church in These StreetsTMZ reports that the CTE boss has been absolved of any wrongdoing in the $5 million case brought against him by Detetrius “Kinky B” Ellerbee, a man who claimed to have been close friends with Jeezy for 20 years, in summer 2012.When Ellerbee brought forth the lawsuit, he claimed that he was the rightful co-founder of Jeezy’s label, CTE World, and that he had been a major producer on four of Jeezy’s albums, including The Inspiration and The Recession, from which he has not received any royalties. As mentioned, Ellerbee thought he deserved $5 million.

Jeezy denied all of Ellerbee’s accusations and said that the two of them were never good friends. And it looks like the jury has agreed with him. The court has decided that Ellerbee is not entitled to anything in Jeezy’s bank account.

This victory should allow Jeezy to promote Church in These Streets even harder. Don’t miss it on November 13.
