BeatKing’s upcoming album, “3 Weeks,” is out later this month.
BeatKing has built a loyal fanbase the old-fashioned way over the last few years, independently releasing mixtapes and albums, and contributing to a regional scene. Now, the Houston phenomenon is ready to take things up a notch, inking a deal with Penalty Entertainment and preparing his debut project for the label.3 Weeks (a reference to how long it took BeatKing to record the project) is shaping up to be something special for old and new fans alike. The 14-track LP is set to feature contributions from Short Dawg, DJ Chose, and Bun B, made up of all new material (save for the “Keisha” remix, which has been getting some generous radio play as of late).
