The 2014 NBA Playoffs have brought drama both on and off the court in the form of Chris Paul’s buzzer beater against the Spurs and Atlanta Hawks guard Thabo Sefolosha possibly being the victim of police brutality. Los Angeles Clippers forward Matt Barnes joined the list by shouting something he described as “disrespectful” towards the mother of Houston Rockets star James Harden. Barnes called rumors that he told Harden’s mother, “Suck my d***, b***h” both “crazy” and untrue,” and the former UCLA product explained how the matter was resolved to the Los Angeles Times.

“We’ve made our peace,” Barnes said. “We’ve spoken twice since the incident. She said something, and I said something back. I spoke to her at halftime, and I spoke to her after the game. We’re fine.”

This isn’t the first time Barnes has been in the public eye for controversial comments. In 2013, Barnes was fined $25,000 for offensive language after tweeting, “I love my teammates like family, but I’m DONE standing up for these n***as! All this s**t does is cost me money.”

The Clippers and Rockets will resume their series tonight at 7:30 p.m. PST on ESPN. You can view Barnes full interview with the Los Angeles Times below.
