Rich Homie Quan says rumors about his Grand Theft Auto-like beatdown and getaway in Miami last month are completely untrue.

Earlier this month news began spreading around the Internet that Quan punched a bouncer and jumped into a boat to flee the scene of a Miami nightclub where he was reportedly denied entry. While it makes for a great story, the “Type of Way” rapper says the rumors and accusations are all lies.

Quan provided Billboard with an official statement regarding the incident earlier this day.

“With respect to the questions concerning the incident with the security guard, I am innocent of the accusations he has made against me,” the statement says. “However, I am not at liberty to expand further at this time because the investigation into the events of that day is ongoing.”

While Quan tries to keep his head down through the investigation, his status with Young Thug and Rich Gang is still a bit unclear after a confusing rift between the two opened up earlier this month. After news that Quan had decided to prioritize his solo career instead of keeping up with Rich Gang, Young Thug called out his frequent collaborator during a recent tourstop, calling him “B*tch Homie Quan” before clarifying the remarks.

Meanwhile, Quan also has a new music video out and the clip noticeably fades to black with a “To Be Continued” tag overlaid on a scene of a boat at the end. Check out the video below.
