A Richard Pryor biopic has been in the works for years. Months ago it was announced Mike Epps would get the play the legendary comic with Empire creator Lee Daniels directing the movie. One person who was at one point linked to the project was comedian/actor Marlon Wayans.

Wayans, who’ve appeared in such movies as “Above The Rim,” the “Scary Movie” Series and “White Girls” does have a dramatic role to his credit for the movie Requiem for a Dream. In Requiem, Wayans plays Tyrone Love, a man with the help of his friends turns to selling drugs and eventually ends up in jail.

In 2010 Wayans with the help of actor and best friend Omar Epps filmed an audition and man was it amazing. At this time, Chris Rock was supposedly at the helm of a possible movie about Pryor. If Epps’ tape was better than this one then we might have a great movie on our hands.
