David Oyelowo was recently nominated for a Golden Globe for his portrayal of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in the film Selma, and it looks like his 2015 will be even busier.
Variety reports that Oyelowo is in talks to starring alongside Oscar-nominated actress Lupita Nyong’o in the cinematic adaptation of author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s novel Americanah, a story of a Nigerian immigrant couple whose relationship stands the test of time and oppression.

Oyelowo reportedly enjoyed working with Plan B, actor Brad Pitt’s company, so much during Selma, that he jumped at the opportunity to work with the team again. No word of a writer or director for Americanah yet.
Oyelowo’s already generating Oscar buzz for his portrayal of King in Selma and is set to star in the independent feature Captive with Kate Mara.
