“Grammy-winning rapper Lil Wayne has penned a blog posting discussing his “Saturday Night Live” performances from this past weekend and being back on top of his game. In addition to the post-show reaction, Wayne talked about snagging an upcoming Rolling Stone cover.

“Hello World & Fellow Martians! I hope you enjoyed my Saturday Night Live performance. I can’t describe what it felt like being back in my element. I wanted to share some behind the scenes photos from my Rolling Stone photo shoot. The shoot was in Miami two weeks ago and just being able to do this type of stuff again is therapeutic. Be sure to pick up the issue when it hits stands. Thank you to the people at Rolling Stone for the opportunity. PS. Thank you for making 6 foot 7 foot #1 on itunes, you will continue to be #1 in my heart.”

Wayne also performed with fellow Grammy winner Eminem during last weekend’s “SNL” broadcast.

Eminem and Lil Wayne shared musical guest duties on the last new “Saturday Night Live” of 2010. First up, the rap titans united to perform their collaboration “No Love” together for the first time. Em later rocked the stage with his Recovery joint “Won’t Back Down” before handing the mic over to Weezy who debuted his Carter IV single “6 Foot 7 Foot” for the first time on TV.

Since its release this fall, Wayne’s I Am Not A Human Being solo project has remained on the sales chart.

Evening things out in Top 50 is Lil Wayne’s I Am Not A Human Being which fell eight positions to No. 48 with 26,500. With 11 weeks in the books, Weezy’s new project stands at 564,100 records sold.

Lil Wayne began a one-year jail sentence last March and was later released in early November.
