ESSENCE Festival 2016 is finally upon us, and with festivities just hours away, ESSENCE has announced they will celebrate the life of Prince with a New Orleans-themed tribute on Sunday (July 3).

For his interpretation of James Brown’s classic, BJ The Chicago Kid performs his ode in front of his mother in his heartfelt visual. The track is off his latest effort, In My Mind which you can grab here. Encore!
