The tour is anticipated to her and Alchemist’s collab album. This project will be Badu’s first studio album since 2010’s ‘New Amerykah Part Two (Return of the Ankh)‘, as well as being her first major release since ‘ But You Caint Use My Phone mixtape’ back in 2015.

In an interview, Badu hinted at a new project, saying, “I mean, I’m writing right now. I got a project coming out soon.” When asked about the release date, she answered very vaguely, saying, “We’ll see. It’s an important one. It’s a collab album.”

Though we don’t have a release date yet, the duo will most likely be debuting tracks from their upcoming collaboration project.

The title of the upcoming project is rumored to be titled  “Abi & Alan” just like the tour. On June 19, Badu took the stage at Dallas’ Bomb Factory performing a quick set with songs like” The Healer,” “Window Seat, “Love of My Life,” and more. The Alchemist, the other half of this duo, released a track titled “Next To You.” Which is the first single of the upcoming album. The vibes of this project are Soul, Hip-Hop, R&B, with a bit of Reggae.

This duo is one we didn’t know we needed. Be sure to check out the tour dates and stay tuned for their upcoming album.
