Arlington Police Investigate A Murder – Suicide

She entered and shot the victim multiple times as he was sitting in the barber chair.

Friday morning at around 10:15 AM, Police were called to Salon and Spa Galleria Arlington. Once arrived, investigators confirmed the deaths of a 37-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman. Who they think is the suspected killer.

According to witnesses, there was a barbershop suite towards the back of the building. This is where she entered and shot the victim multiple times as he was sitting in the barber chair. Off camera, it was said that a tenant saw the woman fire directly at the man, and he is a frequent customer.

According to police, the man died at the scene. When officers began arriving at the scene, they reported a woman trying to flee.
In a press release, police report, she re-entered the business and shot herself. She was taken to a hospital and later died.

Police say,“A motive for the shooting remains unclear; however, through the course of their investigation, detectives learned the man and woman were previously in a romantic relationship.”
Mario Ibarra is the owner of his barbershop business and rents his suite here at Salon and Spa Galleria Arlington. He says that he wasn’t in his suite at the time of the incident. He was about to enter when one of his suite neighbors stopped him and encouraged him not to enter due to somebody having just been shot.

Ibarra’s Wife told NBC 5 that her husband was distraught and not ready to speak publicly about the situation.

As police continued their investigation, they confirmed that there were several other people inside the business at the time of the incident; however, no one else was injured.
Neither suspect nor victim has been identified at this time.
