Authorities have issued an active capital murder warrant for the suspects, though their identities have not yet been made public. A witness told local station KTVT that they heard between 20 and 30 gunshots during the attack.

The tragedy marks the fourth and fifth homicides in Forest Hill this year, a sharp increase from 2024, when the city reported none.

Friends and family have identified the male victim as Ronnie “LilRonnie” Smith, a local rapper known for his music under the name G$ Lil Ronnie.

His aunt, Stella Houston, expressed disbelief over his death, emphasizing that he had no known enemies.

“He was a good kid. He was,” she said, “He didn’t bother nobody.”

As the investigation continues, authorities urge anyone with information to come forward. Our thoughts are with the victims’ families and loved ones during this difficult time.
