Chris Brown is speaking out about his most recent arrest.

Cops showed up to Breezy’s L.A. home on Aug. 30 after a young woman, Former Miss California Baylee Curran, claimed he threatened her with a gun. Following a long standoff with police, the singer was taken into custody on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and was later released.

Now, in an interview with ABC News, the father to baby girl Royalty maintains he is innocent and adds, “I cannot wait till the truth comes to light about this incident and this situation.”

Chris continues: “You know, because my character’s been defaced and who I am as a person and [my] integrity. I’m glad all my real supporters know me, and know the truth and see the truth.”

In text messages shared with ABC, Curran allegedly threatens to set Chris up for kicking her out of his home.

PEOPLE reports: However, Brown and his legal team shared text messages with ABC allegedly between Curran and a friend, in which the woman vowed to set Brown up.

“This freak Chris Brown is kicking me out of his house because I called his friends jewelry fake,” one text allegedly read. “I’m going to set him up and call the cops and say that he tried to shoot me and that will teach him a lesson I’m going to set his ass up.”

Chris Brown is due in court on Sept. 20 and according to Curran, the alleged text messages are inauthentic. Head over to ABC for the exclusive video in which he discusses the unfortunate incident.
