Sad news for Serena and Venus Williams. It’s being reported that their father has suffered a secret stroke.

Lakeisha Williams, Richard’s current wife confirmed the news to Radar Online and said he was released from the hospital last week. She also said that he was stable, but “not at 100 percent.”

“His condition is fair – he’s up and walking around but he’s not at 100 per cent. He needs speech therapy, psychological therapy and physical therapy but for now he refused,” she said.

“I’m trying to get him under control and relaxed so that when we come back from out of town we could try to get that going. But he doesn’t wish to be bothered with anybody,” his wife added.

Williams also told Radar that her husband doesn’t really believe that he had a stroke.

“His mind is telling him that since he was once in charge of his life, after what’s happened he’s not accepting it. To him he’s a normal person – nothing happened to him,” she said.

How sad. We are sending prayers to Mr. Williams and his family.

A new poll proved just how racially polarizing GOP Presidential candidate Donald Trump is for our nation.

Zero percent of African-Americans in both Pennsylvania and Ohio said they were voting for the reality star turned politicianaccording to the latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Marist polls.

Welp!

The poll also found that Black voters in were overwhelmingly in favor for Dem Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. In Ohio, they were 88 percent for Clinton and 91 percent in Pennsylvania, NBC News noted. Among white voters in Ohio, Trump bested Clinton by 10 points, 43 percent to 33 percent, but in Pennsylvania, they were tied, 40 percent to 40 percent.

These findings are not shocking in any way. Trump has been notorious for making racially insensitive comments about African-Americans, Muslims, Latinos and immigrants. He also delayed in disavowing support from white supremacists and recently declined to speak at the NAACP’s upcoming annual conference.

#BlackGirlMagic Carla Hayden, First Woman Confirmed to Lead Library of Congress

In some much-needed good news, the Senate has confirmed the longtime head of Baltimore’s library system to be the next Librarian of Congress, NBC News reportedCarla Hayden, 62, will be the first woman and the first African-American to hold the position in its 214-year history.

President Barack Obama nominated Hayden and called her milestones on gender and race “long overdue.”

Prior to Obama signing a law last year establishing a 10-year term for the Librarian of Congress, the position was previously considered a lifetime appointment, NBC noted. The last head of the Library, James Billington, was voted in under President Regan and held that position for 28 years.

In a statement issued by POTUS, he said that he and First Lady Michelle Obama have known Hayden for years and are confident that she will excel in her new position.

“Her understanding of the pivotal role that emerging technologies play in libraries will be essential in leading the Library of Congress as it continues to modernize its infrastructure and promote open access and full participation in today’s digital world,” he wrote.

Congrats Carla!
