Dallas has a new basketball team, and all the players are pretty hot. As the WNBA enters its 20th year, some changes have been made and those changes include the relocation and rebranding of the Tulsa Shock to the Dallas Wings. (Don’t believe me? Just Google “Tulsa Shock” and see what comes up.)
Starting point guard, Skylar Diggins, is the poster child for the new team with all of her endorsements– both in business, such as endorsements from Nike and being signed to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation sports imprint, but also from Hip-Hop royalty for being so fine. (Side eyeing Lil’ Wayne and Drake 😒)
Thursday (May 5) the Dallas Wings held their first-ever media day on the campus of University of Texas-Arlington, and 97.9 The Beat was the only radio station in Dallas present. During the event, we got to catch up with star-player Skylar Diggins to discuss her recovery from last season’s torn ACL, her transition to Dallas from Oklahoma, fighting off rappers and her own line Nikes.
