The team behind Black-ish is prepping another episode that’s sure to have everyone talking for the season 2 finale.

Black-ish is continuing to build up the buzz surrounding the series (especially coming off of the episode about police brutality), and the cast will be paying homage to another Black TV family. According to Shadow And Act, the season 2 finale is going to be an episode inspired by Good Times

The Johnson family will find themselves teleported back in time through one Dre’s hallucinations.

“The season finale is a homage to the great ’70s sitcom Good Times,” said Black-ish executive producer Jonathan Groff teased. “We will actually see a fever dream of Dre’s [Anthony Anderson] and he visits that world.”

This is an interesting mashup, but not a complete surprise, considering show creator Kenya Barris has been tapped to write a Good Times movie.

If that wasn’t enough great news, there’s also word that Deon Cole will be returning to Black-ish for a quick visit to reprise his role as Charlie.

“We said a very tearful goodbye to Charlie in episode 10,” “We’re going to see him again in a little bit. He’s going to come play for a little bit so we’re really excited about it.”
