Ciara was the artist tapped to kick off the National Championship game yesterday with a performance of the National Anthem and her execution was flawless, but it was what she wore that created a bit of controversy. It started when ESPN’s Bonnie Bernstein sent out a tweet that read:

Dear Ciara. You’re stunning. But this is a National Championship Game. Kids are watching. Cover up.

That set off a slew of tweets aimed at her and her getup of choice, but beau Russell Wilson wasn’t having it and sent her a public message via Twitter that included a pic of his lady snapped during her performance.

I see you baby!! Sounded amazing & looked flawless in every way! @Ciara #NationalChampionship

Ciara hasn’t responded publicly to Bonnie’s message, but did tweet out

Truly Grateful For This Moment, and To Be A Part Of A Special Night

Do you agree with Bonnie or think she should take a seat and eat a bowl of sthu?
