Actor Shia LaBeouf was arrested for public intoxication in Texas on Friday. The Transformer star has had several run-ins with the police over the last few years, including last year when he agreed to undergo alcohol abuse treatment following a public meltdown.

According to reports, Shia “became increasingly confrontational, aggravated, profane and verbally aggressive” with the officer during the encounter and called him a “silly man” three times, the affidavit says. The officer “determined that LaBeouf was a danger to himself and others.”
“Due to pending adjudication, no further details will be released at this time,” the Austin Police Department said in a statement.
It’s saddening to see a star with such potential become so self-destructive.
