After dropping a #BlackLivesMatter reference at the GRAMMY Awards, Prince is doubling down on his activism efforts in the wake of multiple unarmed black men dying during or shortly after encounters with police. Saturday, he took to Twitter and released the song “Baltimore,” in advance of his “Rally 4 Peace” concert in Baltimore, Maryland.

“Does anybody hear us pray/ For Michael Brown or Freddie Gray/ Peace is more than the absence of war,” Prince and Eryn Allen Kane sing, in reference to two of the more prominent deaths that spawned #BlackLivesMatter. “Are we gonna see, another bloody day / We tired of cryin’, and people are dyin’ / Let’s take all the guns away…”

In addition to Saturday’s release, Prince has partnered with Jay Z’s TIDAL service to freely stream a 60-minute performance during his scheduled “Rally 4 Peace” concert in Baltimore. The show will also be available to those without TIDAL subscriptions.

“Please know that all involved in this project never take for granted the privileges we have in this country,” Prince wrote on a statement posted on his SoundCloud page, where “Baltimore” can be streamed for free. “Let’s all continue to fight the good fight and confront inhumanity on every level until the day it is no longer.”
