Alright. Round 1 goes to Kendrick!
At the 2013 BET Hip-Hop Awards, K.Dot and his TDE brethren displayed their lyrical prowess in one of the many cyphers. However, the “good kid, m A.A.d city” emcee had a few choice words for Drizzy Drake. In video footage captured by AllHipHop.com, Kendrick makes it pretty clear how he feels about the “Nothing Was The Same” Rapper.
We’re not exactly sure what sparked the retaliation on Kendrick’s part. It could’ve been Drake’s comment in a recent Billboard magazine when he said “I know good and well that Kendrick’s not murdering me, at all, in any platform. So when that day presents itself, I guess we can revisit the topic.” Or Drake’s recent Hot.97 interview where he accused the West Coast emcee of destroying his relationships for a simple verse.
Who knows? But either way, Kendrick took his gloves off and swung. The question is, will Drake swing back?
