Alice Givens Jones was a nurse until she lost her sight in 1994. After losing her sight she took up the cause of helping visually impaired students. Visually-impaired students require intervention way beyond what their sighted peers need, leading them, many times, to discouragement after their high school graduation. Social, emotional and economic challenges are especially difficult for visually impaired youths. The Alice Givens Jones Foundation seeks to provide hope for those youths by awarding them each year continuing education scholarships . Please help.
