ACCORDING TO WFAA:
A woman was arrested Thursday afternoon after getting in the driver’s seat of a DART paratransit van and driving on to Central Expressway with passengers still inside.
According to a DART spokesman, the customer originally called DART Police at 11:54 a.m. complaining about not being dropped off at her appointment before everyone else.
At 12:30 p.m., the van operator stopped to board another passenger. The complaining woman jumped in the driver’s seat and drove onto U.S. 75 with four passengers on board.
While still on the phone complaining to DART Customer Service, she was pulled over at 12:50 p.m. by DART and Dallas Police at 75 and N. Hall St.
The passenger was arrested on four counts of kidnapping and unlawful restraint as well as one count of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
