Lil Boosie’s trial begins on April 30th and, according to sources, the rapper will no longer have to worry about the death penalty after East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney Hillar Moore III said he would only be seeking a life sentence.

Prosecutors have put forward a request for an anonymous jury, which means, Jurors will only be identified by number during the trial in a proactive effort to maintain fairness, the motion for the anonymous jury went unopposed by Boosie’s Lawyers.

Boosie is accused of hiring Michael “Marlo Mike” Louding to kill Terry Boyd, 35, who was shot to death through a window of his house Oct. 21, 2009.

One of Boosie’s lawyers has stated that Boosie is ready for this day in court and that he’s good but he’s frustrated. Boosie is currently being held in the Louisiana State Penitentiary at Angola.
