Grammy-nominated artist Drake toasted to the first concert held at the College Park Center and called it a night to remember.

Show line up consisted of:

Chase N. Cashe

ASAP Rocky

Kendrick Lamar

Drake’s performance was the best at UTA, Zeta Tau Alpha roommates Jenifer Clayton and Kara Hunt said.

Clayton, a nursing junior, said she has attended every concert UTA has hosted since she has been a student.

“There couldn’t have been a better performer for the first concert here,” Clayton said.

Friends Megan Malveaux and Brenda Ramirez compared Drake’s performance to Rihanna’s 2007 performance in Texas Hall.

“It was way better. It blew her out of the water,” Malveaux, a marketing senior said.

Malveaux and Ramirez, who graduated in December, said their favorite part of the concert was when Drake pointed out specific people in the crowd and spoke to them.

Drake called UTA one of the best crowds of his entire life and congratulated UTA on the new center before closing.

“UTA, I love you. Arlington, Texas, I love you. Until the next time I see you, take care,” he said before running off stage.
