Exton, Pennsylvania.. Senior Downingtown East High School receiver Jay Harris has decided to not take his athletic scholarship from Michigan State University and pursue a rap career! Bold move, seeing that he was ranked the #2 receiver in the state.
Supposedly, he has been wanting to tell his parents he wanted to be a rapper for sometime now. He has a few youtube videos of himself rapping under the name “Jay Datbull” and one actually got over 50,000 views this weekend alone.
According to hiphopwired: this was a big part in his decision to pick up the mic instead. Allegedly Michigan State stripped him of his full ride scholarship after seeing his videos using profanity and smoking. He also said that he was working with producer M. Stacks who has worked with artirst Wiz Khalifa and Mac Miller.
