WICHITA FALLS — A man from Wichita Falls has been arrested over the theft of a $90,000 ring from a woman at a north Dallas supermarket last month.

Bryan Maurice Fuller, 53, is accused of being the driver in the plot. He was arrested by police Tuesday afternoon and will be jailed in Wichita Falls.

A parking lot surveillance camera at the Whole Foods Market at Preston Road and Forest Lane captured images of a man throwing a 53-year-old woman to the ground, taking a diamond ring, then escaping when a partner pulled up in a white sedan on January 25.

It happened in the early evening as the woman pushed her grocery cart to her car in a well-lighted parking lot.

As she loaded groceries in the front seat of her car, it appears in the video that the victim never noticed the white car behind her. As the car stopped, a man in his early 20s got out of the passenger seat.

The victim described her assailant as “preppie.” Her face was badly bruised and cut during the theft.

She had owned the ring for more than 20 years. It’s a distinctive pear-shaped diamond which weighs 7.5 carats and is said to be worth more than $90,000.

The ring has not yet been recovered.
