TMZ is reporting that according to law enforcement sources the PILLS found in T.I.’s Car yesterday tested positive as ECSTASY pills!
Take a close look at the photo of T.I. getting arrested … and focus on the styrofoam cups in the front and back cupholders … although cops aren’t saying which controlled substance they found in the car, there seems to be evidence of Sizzurp … aka purple drank … aka codeine syrup
(UPDATE) T.I and Tiny were released around 4:00am this morning.
(UPDATE #2)A form of codeine falls under the class of drugs for which T.I. and his wife, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle, were arrested.
(Update #3) T.I. and “Tiny” were arrested on the Sunset Strip last night after making an illegal U-turn. Cops say they smelled marijuana, conducted a search and found a controlled substance.
We’re now told that the substance was allegedly ecstasy. And, our law enforcement sources call it a “small amount.”

— Codeine is the main ingredient in Sizzurp, which is a growing problem in the South.
— Sizzurp is typically ingested in styrofoam cups … it’s become a “thing” in the hip-hop community.
Cops won’t say specifically which drug they found, though our sources say it’s the class of drugs that does indeed include the main ingredient for Sizzurp.
Both T.I. and “Tiny” were booked on felony possession of a controlled substance
Another day, another run-in with the law for T.I. According to TMZ, he and his wife Tiny were arrested early this morning for alleged possession of a controlled substance.
Law enforcement sources tell us L.A. County Sheriff’s deputies pulled over the multi-platinum selling rapper and his wife in a Maybach on Sunset Boulevard around 10:30PM. Deputies say they smelled marijuana, and after searching the vehicle they arrested T.I. and Tameka. The couple just got married on July 30 in Miami, and T.I. — real name Clifford Harris Jr. — is on probation after doing seven months in prison on federal weapons charges. We’re told T.I. and Tameka are in custody right now. Bail amount is $10,000.
Tiny is proving to be a true ride or die chick. I’m disappointed in TIP. He was doing so well…SMH. He will be back in jail memorizing the dictionary if he keeps this up.
In better news, his new film Takers beat out The Last Exorcism to snag the number #1 spot at the box office this past weekend.
