A school bus transporting special needs children crashed in Fort Worth on Monday.

The mid-afternoon incident happened at 400 Cooks Lane, where the vehicle veered off the road and hit a tree.

None of the nine Lowery Road Elementary students aboard the bus, nor the driver, was injured, according to Fort Worth Independent School District representative Clint Bond.

However, a female bus monitor suffered minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital.

Oncor shut off electricity to power lines at the crash scene.

It was not immediately clear what caused the crash.
