With football season already upon us, here is a quick guide to stay efficient through this winning season for high school, college, and NFL!

First things first, you can’t start a football game with tailgating! Tailgating is your chance to not only listen to music, eat, and drink, it’s your chance to bond with fellow fans and create those “game day” friendships. The best part is tailgating is open to everyone even if you’re not attending the game!

A few pointers when attending a tailgate:

  • You should get there a few hours before the game starts so you can enjoy the pregame atmosphere. Also, respect fellow fans, even if they’re not supporting your team, good sportsmanship goes a long way!
  • Please keep your eyes on the grill! Bring lawn chairs , folding chairs , or rotate cooks, but DO NOT leave the grill!
  • Also, make sure to style those trucks out so everyone knows what team you are rooting for!
  • This one is for the ladies! Another tip for game day is to make sure you have the right purse or bag. Some stadiums only allow clear bags, some allow small bags, ALMOST ALL do not allow big bags or backpacks. I know everything in your bag is essential but try to bring what is absolutely necessary with you.

A couple more things to keep in mind…

DO watch out for small children, DON’T forget there might be alcoholic beverages and we still want to be responsible while we kick it!

DO wear your team jerseys and colors, DON’T wear a different sports jersey or a team that’s not even playing.

DO enjoy the full gameday experience, DON’T leave early, you might miss the best part of the game!

Lastly, and most importantly, HYDRATE HYDRATE HYDRATE! Don’t let the weather or atmosphere drain you so bad you miss out on the experience!

Let’s have a fun, safe, and WINNING  football season! Let’s go Texas!
