Paloma is a student at José Urbina López Primary School in Matamoros, Mexico and is the face of Mexico’s “unleashed potential” when it comes to experimental teaching methods in the country.
The Wired comparison to Steve Jobs, the long-hailed hero of modern technology, is a pretty hefty title to wear. Jezebel points out that our collective idea of “genius” is largely white and male – but that categorization may be challenged in the future by girls like Paloma – female, and of a diverse background.
