1. & 2. Black or Green Tea: Black and green tea both contain polyphenols, which fight bad breath by preventing the growth of bacteria in your mouth.

 3. Yogurt: Unsweetened yogurt is a great defense against bad breath, because the active yogurt cultures compete with other bacteria in your mouth. It also give you health teeth; people who eat it regularly have less plaque and less gum disease.

4. Water: Drinking water keeps bacteria from growing, and helps with saliva production, because bacteria live best in a dry mouth.

5. -7. Parsley, Basil, and Spinach: These herbs are also high in polyphenols, which fight bacteria.

8. Apples: Apples are full of polyphenols. CHALLENGE: After eating a smelly meal like fish or anything with garlic, try eating an apple and see what it does for you.
