Mitsubishi will be showing a stunning 155-inch OLED display along with a 92-inch 3D HDTV at CES 2011. They are aiming at the advertising and other forms of digital display with the mammoth 155-inch OLED and the wealthy people searching for a right gadget to suit their walls with the smaller version.
The 92-inch 3D HDTV is not an LCD or plasma screen, but instead a rear-projection DLP HDTV. Although this new device is not as thin or light as flat-panel HDTVs, the company claims this DLP screen to offer an experience closer to that of a movie theater.
They can justify their claims as their HDTV and cinema projectors use similar technology for projection.
Today, many companies use laser projection instead of DLP and Mitsubishi remains to be an odd one out as they still produce rear-projection HDTVs, both in its 3D Home Cinema and LaserVue lines.
The company will also portray their first 1080p 3D home theater projector along with the other announcements made. This new projector will be able to cast pictures up to 100 inches.
Along with the mentioned devices, they will also introduce a mini photo printer at the tech show in Las Vegas.
