I literally just want to ask can a girl hold a dollar??? In the last year, with a depression and everything, the Top 20 earners in Hip Hop made about $300 million dollars. Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter tops the list as usual making $63 Million (He still didnt make more than Beyonce though!) thanks to a new album and investments in 40/40 nightclub chain, Broadway show “Fela!” and New Jersey Nets basketball team. The biggest boost comes from Blueprint 3 Tour, which grossed over $1 million per concert this year.
Diddy aka “Ciroc Obama,” came in second making $30 million due largely to lucrative vodka joint venture with Diageo, Sean John clothing, Bad Boy Records, and more. A few other artist on the Forbes list were Akon with $21 Million, Lil Wayne with $20 Million and Dr. Dre with $17 Million. One of the biggest shocks for me was 50 Cent, who talks the most ish about EVERYBODY and they mama made the list but only with $8 Million. I mean thats more money than what I got but not Diddy, who became his latest victim. Biggest shout out and much props to Drizzy Drake for making the list at number 12 with $10 Million. He of course was the newest addition to the list. The tie for the 20th spot was Gucci, Lil Jon and Rick Ross with $5 Million. Congrats, but again can a girl hold a dollar or two???
