China’s Xiaoshan airport in Hangzhou halted operations last Wednesday July 7th at apprximately 8:30 pm after airport officials noticed an unidentified flying object (UFO) in their radar. To this day it is not known what the photographed object was, but as you can see from the images, it was not your common UFO!

The incident is now being investigated by Beijing’s UFO Research Society and the Shanghai UFO investigative Research Center, whose director Lou Jinhon said:

“We have several places to visit on our agenda, including the Xiaoshan Airport and the CAAC East China Regional Administration… I cannot offer an opinion on this case, because we have not yet collected all the relevant documents and data. It’s not clear how long the investigation will take.”

The strange “aircraft” had –as you can see in some of the pics- what appeared to be something as a tractor beam we have seen in movies and UFO related series. Now people all over the Web are making their own theories to explain the presence of the object. China Daily reported that officials know what the UFO really is but they won’t make it public because it is related with the military.

Is this an alien ship? Or just a ship being tested by china’s military? In any case, what was it doing on above China’s Xiaoshan airport? Perhaps we’ll never get to know the answer to these questions.
