G-Unit leader 50 Cent reportedly continued his Invitation Tour over the weekend by performing in a half-full stadium in Houston, Texas.

According to reports, 50 also appeared to be less energetic than in previous concerts.

50 Cent took the stage at Houston’s Arena Theater on Saturday night (June 12), and it was easily apparent that his fan base has started to wane. The venue was only filled to 50 percent capacity, but like a pro, the G-Unit general saw the glass as half full and focused on captivating the crowd on hand with his signature laugh and charismatic smile. Now noticeably gaunt after the shocking weight loss for the upcoming film, Things Fall Apart, the Queens-native moved about the stage with less energy than previous performances, but Yayo easily compensated with his lively presence. G-Unit’s Tony Yayo recently talked about 50 losing 54 pounds for his upcoming Things Fall Apart movie.

The MC is apparently taking his bulking up seriously, ordering a “cheeseburger all the way” and French fries in a restaurant where he stopped for lunch, according to the paper. “He was a real gentleman,” the manager said. G-Unit’s Tony Yayo told MTV News earlier this month that he admires his boss’ resolve when it comes to acting. “50 doesn’t party, he doesn’t drink. For his new film, the guy was, like, 130 pounds,” Yayo said. “He was running from the airport to the hotel. And I was like, ‘Man, he has the three D’s: desire, determination and [direction].'” (MTV)

50 said his discipline was inspired by a friend who died from cancer.

“[Things Fall Apart] is about a Heisman hopeful who could possibly be going to the league and everyone is assuming he’s gonna make it and then he’s hit with an illness,” 50 explained in an interview. “I had a friend of mine who actually experienced cancer and it’s what motivated me to write this screenplay. You don’t have to make everything personal, but that project was. That’s why I committed to playing a role where I lost 54 pounds. I had to discipline myself enough until I achieved it but… I got it. 50’s next stop on his tour will be in Florida tomorrow (June 15) before rounding out his final date on June 25.
