The King Michael Jackson will reportedly be honored during this month’s 52nd Grammy Awards ceremony.

According to report, many popular artists will participate in an MJ tribute performance.

Usher, Celine Dion, Jennifer Hudson, Smokey Robinson and Carrie Underwood will come together, along with the voice of Michael Jackson, in a performance for the King of Pop at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards. The show will also feature a never-before-seen 3-D mini-movie for “Earth Song” that was created for Jackson’s “This Is It” concerts. In order to enjoy the 3-D TV experience at home, Target stores nationwide will offer free 3-D glasses from January 24-31. Those in the audience at Staples Center will also be able to share in the 3-D viewing with their own glasses. (Rap-Up)

Grammy producer Ken Ehrlich has also confirmed the 3-D movie.

“To try and imitate him, to try and represent him, it just didn’t feel to me like it was something we should do with one of those songs that you just don’t ever necessarily want to see anybody but Michael doing,” Ehrlich said in a Wednesday conference call with reporters. ” ‘Beat It,’ ‘Billie Jean,’ or so many of the others. This felt to us like it was really a way of representing him. It’s like a tip of the hat. This song was so important to him.” (Los Angeles Times)

The show will also be led by performances from Beyonce and Taylor Swift.

Leading Grammy contenders Beyonce, Black Eyed Peas and Taylor Swift will be among the performers at the awards early next year. Nominations have already been announced, with Beyonce vying for 10 awards while Swift is up for eight. R&B singer Maxwell and country group Lady Antebellum, who are up for six and two awards respectively, have also been added to the bill. (BBC News)

Beyonce and Swift lead this year’s annual ceremony with the most nods.

R&B singer Beyonce led the field of Grammy contenders with 10 nominations, followed by teen country sensation Taylor Swift with eight, organizers of the music industry’s top awards said on Wednesday. Black Eyed Peas, R&B singer Maxwell and rapper Kanye West each had six nominations, with Lady Gaga and rapper Jay-Z getting five apiece. (Reuters)

Winners in all categories of the 52nd annual event will be announced at a televised awards ceremony on Jan 31.
