Rap mogul Jay-Z has reportedly made Billboard history as having the most Top 10 singles of all-time.

According to reports, Jay’s success stems from his “Young Forever” Blueprint III track.

Jay-Z’s “Young Forever” rounds out the top 10, jumping from No. 12 to No. 10. He now leads all rappers with the most to top 10 singles ever. He’s got 17 under his belt. Before “Young,” Jay’s 16 tied him with Ludacris. Luda’s on his heals, though. His “My Chick Bad,” featuring Nicki Minaj is at No. 11 this week. (Entertainment Weekly)

Last March, Ludacris said he we competing with Diddy for the top Billboard title.

“Diddy, yeah yeah yeah, we have a bet going on,” Luda told television host Chelsea Handler. “We both have five number one Billboard singles on the charts so we’re trying to see who is gonna get that sixth one. [Who will win?] Oh come on now, you know, I’m down for it. [laughs]” (“Chelsea Lately”)

Luda previously informed his Twitter followers of making Billboard history.

“On the way to Acapulco Mexico to tape MTV spring break to Promote Battle of The SEXes. It’s Hard work but somebody’s gotta do it… Ha!!!!!,” he wrote earlier today (March 15). “Just received word that because of the fans we have made history yet again.Thanks 2 Taio Cruz, im theOnly rapper 2 have 5 #1 billboard hits.” (Ludacris’ Twitter)

Jay-Z’s The Blueprint 3 has smashed the late Elvis Presley’s record of number one albums. Hov’s new release became the top nationwide release this week and his 11th overall No. 1 album. According to Nielsen Soundscan, the self-proclaimed “Best Rapper Alive’s” latest effort has sold 476,100 copies after seven days in stores. (SOHH Sales Wrap)
