LLOYD BANKS (of G-UNIT) . . . and three of his “associates” . . . were released on bail on Tuesday . . . after being arrested in Ontario, Canada, last Friday night on assault and robbery charges.
–But then Banks and another one of the guys, Nicklas Sloane, were detained by Canadian immigration. A spokesperson for the Canadian police said they were being held for “unspecified immigration issues” . . . and no further details are known.
–All four men were charged with forceful confinement, aggravated assault and robbery after allegedly roughing up a local promoter.
–From what we’ve heard, there was a dispute over money. Banks was late for a show he was supposed to do . . . and only ended up playing one song before walking off. The promoter didn’t want to pay up, and Banks wasn’t happy about that.
–The immigration hang-up will be reviewed “later this week” . . . and if everything is resolved, they’ll be able to return to the U.S. at that time.
