KRUM, Texas – A couple of bucks will get you a new home for city hall in one Texas town.

Krum city leaders this week paid off the remaining half of the $2 they agreed to spend to buy several historic downtown buildings for new municipal offices. A parking lot is part of the deal.

The Krum City Council on Monday authorized Mayor Terri Wilson to sign the closing documents and to spend up to $55,000 from the general fund to relocate.

The public works, police and city administration offices will get new digs, as part of agreements secured by business leaders for donation of the unoccupied historic buildings.

Krum is a town of about 3,200, located 45 miles northwest of Dallas.
