In a political power move that only Beyonce could pull off, Ledisi was pulled off of the legendary Mahalia Jackson song that she sang on the movie Selma so that Queen Bey take the stage and help close out last night’s Grammy Awards. Draped in a stunning white gown and a matching backup choir, Beyonce took the entire audience to church singing Martin Luther King Jr.’s famously favorite song, “Take My Hand, Precious Lord”, which was populated by Mahalia Jackson. Her performance bridged into the movie’s Oscar-nominated track “Glory”, which features Common and John Legend.

Of course, this last minute switch out led to some controversy of Ledisi being pulled in favor of Beyonce but we beg to ask the question- “Who sang it better?”.

Listen to both Ledisi and Beyonce’s versions of “Take My Hand, Precious Lord” below and let us know Who Sang It Bettter?
